The multiple award-winning singer, songwriter and performer Burna Boy has announced and confirmed the release date of his first single in 2023. The singer made the official announcement that had many excited about what to expect from him in the new year. Burna confirmed that he would be releasing his first single of 2023 on the 2nd of June, and the song would be a sample of Brandy’s smashing hit ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World.’ The singer also confirmed that he would be releasing another song soon, although the official release date has not been confirmed yet. The record breaker is also scheduled to be making an appearance as the headliner of day one at the sold-out Afro Nation Festival 2023, which would take place in Detriot, US.

  Hilda Bassey Effiong, aka Hilda Baci, a popular chef, has stated that some people were unhappy with her attempt to break the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual because they felt she was “too blessed.” Hilda set a new 100-hour non-stop cooking record, breaking India’s Lata Tandon’s previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes. Guinness World Records has yet to certify her; her attempt is currently being reviewed. But, speaking as a guest on the latest episode of the I Said What I Said Podcast, Hilda said that many people were put off by her beauty, skills, and charisma. Rapper Chinko Ekun Speaks On Rumored Beef With Former Boss, Olamide

  Nigerian Rapper, Oladipo Olamide Emmanuel, known professionally as Chinko Ekun, has spoken up on the alleged rift between him and his former record label boss, Olamide. Lojay Thanks Davido for Connecting Him with Chris Brown

  Nigerian singer-songwriter Lojay has expressed his gratitude to African star Davido for providing him with the opportunity to collaborate with American music star Chris Brown, who he had featured on a remix of his song Monalisa. According to Lojay, he had sent the ‘Go Crazy’ crooner the audio file and after performing his verse, Brown sent it back to him. He further stated that Davido had taken him to his hotel the day before his performance at Wireless Concert, where they had been scheduled to meet, but it had been difficult to do so. Lojay further stated that the experience of meeting the Grammy winner in person had helped to strengthen their working relationship

“I can’t collect N5Million for Tinubu’s pre-inauguration concert” – Portable

 Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable, has revealed that he declined an invitation to perform at President-elect, Bola Tinubu’s pre-inauguration concert. No fewer than 46 musicians were booked for the concert which held on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Portable said he was among those invited but he turned it down because the organisers wanted to rip him off. He claimed that they informed him that the budget for artistes was N10million per head, but the Inauguration management team said he will only get N5million. The Zazuu star said it infuriated him, so he rejected the offer, tore the invitation card, and blocked the number of the person that contacted his management. WORLD CUP!! Nigeria Beat Italy 2 – 0 To Qualify For Round Of 16

  Nigeria’s Flying Eagles defeated Italy 2-0 in their second Group D game at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina on Wednesday. The win means the Flying Eagles progress into the round of 16 with a game to spare. Second half goals from Salim Fago and Jude Sunday made it back-to-back wins for Ladan Bosso-led side who pipped Dominican Republic 2-2 in their opening game. They  will end their group stage campaign against Brazil on Saturday, May 27. After a tight first half, the Flying Eagles opened the scoring against Italy thanks to a header by Fago. In the 95th minute Sunday the made sure of the three points by getting the second goal for the Nigerians. The team had a scare in the 37th minute after VAR check for possible handball which was eventually waved off. Meanwhile, Group B’s other game would see Brazil take on Dominican Republic later on Wednesday.

  Popular Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke, professionally known as   Davido , has revealed that he once ran away from his father’s $60 million family home in Lagos state, to live in his friend’s studio. He made the revelation during an interview with Real 92.3 FM, Atlanta while dismissing the belief that because of his wealthy background he didn’t struggle to become a star. According to Davido, a lot of people make assumptions about him because they don’t really know his past, and having a rich dad was one of the hinderances in his music career. Davido Shocks Blord with $5 Million Endorsement Deal

 Crypto mogul and entrepreneur, Williams Ifejika, also known as BLord, recently expressed his astonishment when he discovered the price tag Davido had attached to an endorsement deal. BLord took to his social media page to share the details of his interaction with the popular musician. In his post, BLord revealed that he had reached out to Davido regarding a potential one-year endorsement deal for his app. However, instead of a positive response or a fair negotiation over the terms, he received an email from Davido’s management team disclosing the staggering amount of $5 million for the endorsement. The cryptocurrency investor and his team were taken aback by the exorbitant sum, as their budget for the endorsement was a mere $250,000, equivalent to N150 million in the local currency.
