The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, passed the much-awaited Petroleum Industry Governance Bill (PIGB), with approval of five per cent levy on fuel sold across the country. This was sequel to unanimous adoption of the report on the Bill presented by Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum (Upstream), Sen. Tayo Alasoadura, to the lawmakers during plenary. The Presidency has denied inviting international model, Naomi Campbell to the launch of Eko Atlantic City in Lagos State. This came via a tweet from Personal Adviser to the president, Bashir Ahmaad who reacted after the model tweeted that it was a pleasure to have been invited by President Buhari to the private launch of Eko Atlantic city. She tweeted: ”Was a pleasure to be invited by His Excellency The President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari to the private launch of Eko Atlantic. @NGRPresident @MBuhari”. Reacting to the information, Bashir Ahmaad tweeted: ”For the sake of clarity, President @MBuhari didn’t invite Ms. Naomi Campbell to any event during his 2-day visit to Lagos State. They only met at the Eko Atlantic City while Mr. President was touring the project, and she requested to take photos with him”.

Invasion by monkeys from natural habitat is forcing many residents of Soluyi/Sosanya Community in Gbagada, Lagos State, to flee. Some of the residents told the News men in Lagos on Monday that they could no longer withstand the situation. They called on the state government to save the community from the trouble, saying that the animals forced their ways into their rooms, destroying window and door nets, food stuffs and other items. The Chairman of the community’s Landlord Association, Mr Adigun Olaleye, said that it had become difficult for the community to curtail the monkeys and their destructive attitude. He said that the invasion might have resulted from the nearness of the community to a swamp forest that separated the community from Ifako area. According to him, the monkeys come into residences at any time including early morning and gain entrance into rooms even if the houses are locked. Olalaye told the News men that the community had written a letter to the Lagos

Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate Khloe, has given reasons she was voted back to the house. Khloe, who was earlier disqualified with her strategic partner K-brule, returned alongside Anto. Khloe said NIgerians voted her because they want her to deal with some housemates. According to her, she would deal with Cee-c, Alex, Teddy- A and Tobi. She said, ” My family actually voted me, maybe not all but some fans sent me on an errand and I have to deliver. ”Some people want me to deal with Cee-c. ”Some want me to put Alex straight. As for Tobi, he is not my kind of guy, but we will see about that.”
