Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to seal a memorable victory for the Los blanchos and showed off his trend after finding the back of the net on three occasions.
Prior to the derby, league rivals Barcelona were held to a barren draw by Malaga at the Camp Nou much to the delight of Zinedine Zidane’s men who strolled over the Rojiblancos in their last game at the Calderon.

Speaking after the match, Zidane hailed the Portuguese wonder has now scored a total of 18 goals againt Atleti.
He said: “I never had any doubts about Ronaldo, and the three goals do not change this,” he said. “He has shown his quality all the time, not just today, although it was 3-0 with his hat trick. For me there is no debate about who deserves the Ballon d’Or.”
