  Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos, has encouraged the club to go all out and land Eden Hazard from Chelsea this summer. Hazard is expected to join the Spanish giants this summer in a big-money move after the player confirmed he was leaving at the end of the Europa League final. Nigeria’s number one man, President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly set aside N1 billion for travels in 2019. President Muhammadu Buhari is to spend N1. 001 billion on travels this year, a report by SaharaReporters has shown. The detailed 2019 budget, which he signed into law early this week, showed that the president would spend N751.296 million traveling around the world and another N250. 021 million locally. According to the budget, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will also spend N217.060 million on foreign travels and another N83. 74 million on local travels. N3.822 billion was earmarked for annual routine maintenance of mechanical/electrical installations in the Villa. Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar, has told Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, the club he wants to join this summer. Neymar has been heavily linked with a move away from PSG to Real Madrid in recent months. The 27-year-old joined the French Ligue 1 champions from Barcelona in a £200million deal two years ago. However, Catalan newspaper, Sport, is reporting that Neymar, a former teammate with Messi during his time at Barcelona, told the Argentine captain that he wants to return to Barcelona this summer’s transfer window. PSG manager, Thomas Tuchel, had admitted last week that both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe could leave the club this summer. “As a coach, I do want them [Neymar and Mbappe] to continue, but this is football — we are not naïve,” Tuchel said at a news conference last week. “Many clubs want to transfer many players and the market is crazy, but if you ask me, I want them here next season. “But if they are not, we will find solutions.”

Chelsea defender, David Luiz, has identified forward, Callum Hudson-Odoi, as the player that can replace star player, Eden Hazard, at Stamford Bridge. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, has arrested the proprietor of a Yahoo Yahoo training school in Lagos, Frank Chinedu. Chinedu, 22, was arrested alongside eight students of the unnamed training centre located at 14, Animashaun Street, Progressive Estate, Ojodu Berger, Lagos, while receiving lectures in internet fraud activities. The students are: Ahmed Musa, 24; Desmond Eze, 29; Preye Kingsley, 23; Benjamin Irabor, 21; Benjamin Opah, 19; Akapo Prosper, 22; Innocent Paul, 20 and Olamide Edun, 20. The suspected internet fraudsters were arrested under cover on May 22, 2019, following intelligence reports received by the Commission about their involvement in alleged criminal activities. Items recovered from the suspects at the point of arrest include nine laptops, 16 mobile phones, an Airtel modem, Orange Wifi and one Toyota Camry with registration number EPE406FN. The suspects will soon be charged to court.

The bill is seeking to establish the Proceeds of Crimes Recovery and Management Agency (POCA), which will strip the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and six other agencies of powers to seize assets or invoke the forfeiture clause. It has been sent to the President. If signed into law, the bill will stop the EFCC and six other anti-corruption agencies from securing freezing orders on suspicious bank accounts under investigation The bill also empowers a court to give an order to allow a suspect to be paid “reasonable” living expenses from his or her restrained property. A Lagos State Prosecutor, Mrs Y. A. Pitan, has told an Igbosere High Court in Lagos that former Super Eagles captain, Austin Okocha, has not liquidated the alleged tax debt he owed the state. Pitan told Justice Adebayo Akintoye on Tuesday that Okocha had visited the Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) office but failed to settle the 2017 income tax, NAN reports. “The LIRS informed us that the defendant (Okocha) visited their office. He went there to reconcile accounts but has not settled yet,” she said. The prosecutor said that the former national football player had also failed to appear in court since Oct. 5, 2017, when the case first came up. Okocha was not in court and was not represented by any lawyer either, and the judge renewed the warrant for his arrest for the third time. Akintoye, who had earlier issued arrest of warrant to Okocha on Jan. 29, adjourned the case until Oct. 10 for further directions. Earlier, the prosecutor had filed a three-count charge ag...

Prior to his death, Adekunle’s father, Hakeem Adeyemi Kosoko was the Permanent Secretary of Education District 4 in Lagos State. He was flown out of the country for treatment and returned to Nigeria to recover but, unfortunately, he kicked the bucket after suffering from an illness which is yet to be disclosed. Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari Monday night admitted that the country’s security apparatus has declined, making citizens vulnerable to different attacks of insurgency groups. President Buhari, who begins his second term in office Wednesday, May 29, made the assertion in an interview aired on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). “The security in relation to when I was in command has really gone down. I can not claim to know what happened after I left the military,” Buhari said. “They (police) were not giving the position and uniforms to impress anybody but to secure the people. The event was witnessed by the incoming Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and the Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola. The governor formally presented the handover note to Sanwo-Olu, signifying change of baton. Nigerian rapper, Zlatan was seen begging to perform at Regina Daniel’s Children’s day party in Delta State. Zlatan was billed to perform at the Nollywood actress’ Children’s Day Party in Agbor, Delta State but on getting to the venue, he was thwarted from performing.
